The style of this artist is strange, with a drawing quality that is often too close to a rough sketch… and yet, for a reason I can’t define, the girls on the pages are extremely attractive to me. For once, I want to ask you guys your help, about a problem : I found a new big manga by James Hotate, however the pictures are named in japanese, my usual viewer can’t manage and show them, and I can’t find a single renamer program that can process non-latin characters.
Let’s make a deal : I give you a download adress to this new James Hotate manga, and you find me a download link for a version with the pictures not named with japanese characters, or you manage to rename the files like that and upload it somewhere… How about it ?

Most OS’s have that sort of thing built in.
Under Windows if you just select all of the files you want; right click, hit rename, and then give it the name you want it will name them all what you specified plus a number.
IE if you have a bunch of files which you rename “blarg.jpg”:
file1.jpg -> blarg.jpg
file2.jpg -> blarg (1).jpg
file3.jpg -> blarg (2).jpg
If you run OS X, Automator makes quick work of things like that. If you run a flavor of Unix, unfortunately I can’t help you because my only experience is with servers…

Renaming batch files are simple in GNU/Linux as long as you are familiar with the terminal and bash.
