First point, is depicting rape in pornography insensitive? Sure. But should one’s expression be banned for being insensitive? Definitely not. If you disagree that’s fine, but that’s a value that I hold and I think it’s a legitimate one.

Second point (I don’t mean to put words into your mouth here, so I’m sorry if I do), if one were to argue that indulging in some kind of rape fantasy makes one a bad person, I would say that’s mistaken. Hell, I’ve talked to girls that find the idea exciting, but it doesn’t mean they’d actually want it to happen.

Fantasizing about something is not the same as doing something, nor is it even the same as wanting to do something. On the contrary, I’d argue that people indulge in little depraved fantasies because they wouldn’t want to act on them. Acting on them would mean hurting someone, and well, that would just kinda ruin it.

That’s nice, however, I think they should also be outraged that such punishable crime is depicted in “legal” entertainment.
