   Thanks, Oliver. I too would love to see more from Seto Yuki. ‘Maybe I’m A Beast’ and ‘Maybe You’re A Beast’ are two of my favourite short stories. This is a very pleasing story itself. Enjoy.

   She was never really looking down on him, she is near-sighted so she squints to see his face better … So all the protagonist’s thoughts about her piercing gaze and all that was his own imagination.
