Here is for you, dear visitors, the first part of Shining Musume Volume 5, English-translated, by Shiwasu No Okina  I couldn’t wait anymore, so with some fresh advertising earnings, I commissioned the translation from my dear Desu – and I don’t regret a single dollar of the cost  The rest of the manga will come later.
This volume 5 starts with our Shining Musume idols wresling in bikini in an aphrodisiac bath (mostly…), and next ganging on a happy fan :P Awesome drawings, superbly hardcore, wonderful faces, I’m in heaven |

As I wrote above, I’m going to commission the whole manga, even if it might take some time for it to be fully translated. I’m a total Shiwasu No Okina fan (much more than the Shining Musume volumes 1-6 is available, check it out !), and, to my regret, it seemed that nobody cared to translate or commission a translation for the the last two Shining Musume volumes, #5 and #6.
If someone had to do it, then let it be me, my paypal account had some extras. Thanks to Desu for the translation, and for accepting that I’d be the releaser. And, ultimate bonus, I tell you, being a first-time releaser is an awesome thrill, a great feeling 8-)

I also found out there is a 4th chapter of Musume in a House of Vice. It isn’t translated, but it is soooooooo awesome! I can post a link if anyone’s interested.

Wow…You seriously kick ass man. I was so happy when this series was being translated and so disappointed when the guy translating it stopped with 2 Volumes left. If you get the last 2 Volumes done you will seriously be me hero lol.

Usually, it is about $1.50 a page. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Depends on the commissioner.

It depends on the translator. For Desu it’s: “Roughly $1.30 per page translated and edited, depending on how much text there is on the page.”

1.50 dollars a page. These commissioners have it good indeed. I wonder why I scanlate manga for free. I should let people pay for my work too.
Think about it. My translators says he can easily translate one volume each day. And it’s not like the editing is too fancy either. A bit of cleaning and the typesetting.
That makes 300 bucks for a few days work. Not too bad.

Chapter 1 of Shining Musume cost me 58.50$, and chapter 2 of Shining Musume + Scandal Teacher Ryoko chapter 1 cost me 54.60$.

Oliver – Thanks for commissioning this one. Glad to see it getting done finally. Maybe I’ll be able to convince Hige to work on House of Vice 4 so we can do our part.
seichirio – It’s not as lucrative as it may seem at first glance. Just work out the time it takes to translate a page, clean it up and typeset, figure out how many you could do in an hour and you’ll see that the rate isn’t exorbitant. If you take the time to clean up SFX and replace them with english too then the money is just bad.
