Hello there, if you know a solution, by any chance, could you help me, please ?

I need a wordpress plugin for a smooth picture+over-text fader effect, as you can see for instance on that page.

Until now, the “Flash Fader Revived” plugin made the job, however it has sadly become obsolete, it isn’t maintained anymore and it has recently become incompatible with the website of one of my wife’s customers (breaking another popular and still maintained key plugin).

I (well, she, but we’re a couple ^^) need a replacement, and we need it BADLY. However we didn’t find a cool solution so far, for a smooth image + text over the image fader.

Please, if by any chance you knew a good alternative working just like in that example, could you share the link ? :)

Hard to tell… probably the best solution would be to actually do those transitions in flash, actually. Also, someone with some skills in photoshop and gif animations could provide a quick solution (but only if the fading images with text are not clickable). Other than that, I would also be interested in knowing if there are any gizmos for wp to use for these :)

See if this is what you are looking for. I have used it before on some websites, and works great.

Ok, small update for you Oliver….

went through the internets for a good 3 hours searching for something that did specifically what you needed… no luck really, and the nearest solucion was a piece of code in JAVA that frankly I wouldnt know how to implement in the first place. I finally thought about giving the code a little twist, see if an engie friend could make it work for the new browsers (he is a cool guy who loves to do reverse engineering)… but found not a single working version of the plugin =/

if you can share the original plugin, maybe, MAYBE, we can mak it work again :)
