Cliché? On a manga? You sir are a liar.

I've gotta say that I hardly ever even take the trouble of reading these comics, because 9 times out of 10 they are just completely obvious and simplistic. They don't really display any writing effort, instead are just an ordinary boy's daydream, or just an unstoppable sequence of sex scenes without any literary coherence.

"Oh, what if I had an amazingly hot friend/coworker/sister/mother that for no special reason decided to have sex with me? And no matter how improbable or taboo that could be, for some reason that was also 100% ok for us? Or what if all the hot girls I know would start flirting with me and one by one taking me to bed, acting as nymphomaniacs while taking my clothes off, despite most of them being virgins and asking me not to look at them naked?"

That is why, despite being written for a female audience, my absolute favorite hentai is Maka Maka. The story is also very sex-oriented (i.e. there's not much happening for the characters besides the sex action), but there is a real, palpable relationship being developed between characters that have realistic feelings and personalities, and no matter how much sex they show, you can read and see that the story is not about sex, but about the feelings the characters they have for each other, feelings they cannot have with their usual partners. THAT, my friend, is good writing.
