To Love Ru, if only the talent of the mangaka turned to true hentai !

You may have heard about To Love Ru, a manga softly ecchi, with an unbearably boring harem scenario managing to span over 18 volumes, surprisingly without causing a massive suicide spree out of boredom among otakus ?

The artists behind it have made a continuation, and, AT LAST, that continuation has gone ecchi enough to become interesting :3 OK, there is no actual sex. But the girls are delicious, and the censorship only stops after drawing the beginning of a slit or a pussy thread. It’s sweeeeeeet for the eyes, the girls are hot, and it’s got the taste of a real manga, for once ;)

A note. Can you imagine this manga serialized inside an all-ages manga magazine, safely published with every new issue, in this Ishihara time that witness Aki Sora absurdly cancelled from reprinting because, not of the sex, but of the incestuous theme, while, on the contrary, official porn mangas can continue displaying as much incest as they like ? It’s crazy. Hey, if only that could turn To Love Ru Darkness into a full throttle officially hentai story, with likewise drawings, even in your home you’ll hear the Japanese otakus screaming in ecstasy.

I added a few neat colorized color pictures, made by an unknown person. These pictures are still in Japanese, but their grayscale versions, them, are in English. My thanks are for the CXC Scans team :)

You know, series like this one and so many others should just stop fooling themselves & their audience and just make hentai, most of them don't know how to tell a story to save their own lives. I just don't understand how some people perfer blueball-causing teasing (ecchi) to actual depiction of sex (hentai).

I've actually already read those chapters for rather its erhm… artistic values then the "plot" and they should really just do some hentai… I mean it's a harem-manga and with this amount of ecchi they might just get banned

The saddening truth is that every guy wants to fuck a woman. But there are few women willing enough to let a guy fuck 'em. The otaku-base, and Ishihara, are the end result of Japan's collective and long-unresolved sexual frustration.

Rance (if he wasn't such a jerk) was probably the best thing that should've happened with Japan's worldly image.

Finally: ToLoveRu was done by a guy (the same guy behind Black Cat) who had been NTR'ed by his assistant-turned-wife IRL. So yeah. I laughed out loud at the idea of his "Darkness."

you what the sad thing is…and i am holding to this thread of hope only because i really loved AkiSora
from what i understand, he can make AkiSora…but he must 1) get to a real hentai manga company or 2) sell in the dead of night. meaning that he has to find a store that will sell it then has to hope that people a curious enough to ask for it…because thanks to how this law works…he cannot really tell the people about his mange anymore, nor can the store that he sells it to…so he has to hope (if he continues making it) that someone will go up to a clerk and ask if they happen to have the next AkiSora…like i thought the ban is going to be horrible…

i made a silly mistake nad its silly to me because i knew this already but when doing some research i caught my mistake…the author of AkiSora is a woman (At least i am pretty sure of that)…and like i said there there is hope for the manga…or at least the people who want to read it…its finished in japan…and its now up to the people who catch and translate it in english…or in any other language for that matter wether or not we get to see the end or not…unless you can read japanese and you was to import it or you can find it online in the raw or you are content with a summar of it…but yeah…just wanted to putting that out there.

Well, gee. I don't know.

(Japanese) women creating pornography. There always seems to be this problem with said women and their inability to compete with "mainstream niche" of pornography in general. Something holding them back and reducing their numbers. (As with that one chick who was behind that one Pink Pineapple's ninja h-anime.)

Porn is a balance of the mood and the visual; you get to know the people and you see their "tools of the trade" at work. (To a certain extent,) it's mainly about the penis rubbing hiself into the vagina and shooting sperm into the womb… That's why it's continually cranked out despite the bad economy et al.

Works like AkiSora and Yosuga no Sora were made. But titles like these won't gain as much traction as an h-title from Vanilla (supposedly the worst company out in terms of "quality.")

My suggestion to this woman is to stop chickening out and start drawing some genitals for her characters to use. It's not going to change her work at all. And incest isn't really "the big problem" (like ugly / old freaks of nature having sex with under-aged children is).

i understand what you are saying and i thought the same thing when i started reading it and some people dont like drama enough to like the story of AkiSora…but she even said herself that she didnt plan for AkiSora to be for adults only and not only that it didnt (And this for what i read) meet the criteria to be in the adults only. Then if thats not enough for you if you check out her other book A Wish Of My Sister you will see her talent in hentai…not to say AkiSora doesnt have hentai in it…but in most cases its not considered a hentai…

I'm checking out "Wish of my Sister" now.

And with that being said: I'm still kinda fuzzy over the logic of creating something with adult themes to the non-adult audience. Why are we blaming people with "higher expectations" for stomping all over said logic? Instead; shouldn't the blame go to the creators for not knowing, or refusing to know, "which shape goes into which peg?"

It's like buying cigarettes for kids nowadays. People do it despite the laws against it. (My mom nearly died from smoking because of her asthma.) So yeah.

see i like you guy you think like i do. Its like i said the manga supposedly doesnt meet te criteria to be considered a adult only manga and she even said that she would have done the mange completely different if she wanted it to be an adult only manga and on top of that NC-17 mangas…like AkiSora is easily acessable to the public. Now of course i see what you mean by why put that in that Ichigo Red Manga…well…that is something that only she could tell you. My best guess is that she wanted to get a story out there that people could see and maybe like (like me) that people could get freely…of course thats me looking and the bright side of what she could have been thinking.

The main problem is the future. That's how it's always been.

We in the US hardly get any uncensored adult anime anymore because ten more people decided to screw everybody else over. (Thanks goes out to these fly-by-night sub-only companies thinking they GANGSTA, and one NuTech for screwing the licensees over.)

It's difficult for "porn made by women" to get into the spotlight if said women expect her audience to "use their imagination." THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS. You don't expect (potential customers you're trying to get money from) to use their imagination. You use YOURS.

Then again, with the lot of the self-censorship and the Ishihara panic going on; I wonder if we'll every see anymore "good" "made by female" porn. :(

true i will give you that…i always tell my cousin i dont mind censored hentai…why cause…1) i am use to the way Japan works…though i am pissed about AkiSora and 2) i have a great imagination, so if it matters that its censored then on comes my light bulb and i tend to like the bodies and faces alot too. but i can never doubt his logic and you and him think the same way and you may like the thing he. He says 'i dont care, aint nobody gonna look at censored hentai…' I love it when he says it because he is pretty much right and wrong at the sametime…but mostly right…

I'll tell you what's crazy: Hentai is for adults only, AkiSora isn't. Why anybody would write a manga with incestuous content in a all-age magazine? That's insane, in many ways.

And that manga has a awfully stupid script. It's absurd (in a bad way, not a Monty Python's way) and a little boring too. Granted: that mangaka can draw cute girls, but don't ask her (that mangaka is a woman) for a good story to tell.

Come on…its not htat bad though…i have seen some bad hentai in cases of story. but for me to say its great is just my opinion like yours to say its bad…but i liked it alot and to me its a good rest for reading hentai with just raw sex with no story if you know what i mean

It's just my opinion there. I had already readed A wish of my sister a long time ago, and it's fine.
But when I go for AkiSora, it totally dissapointed me. I read up to that part about the aunt and the mother (who can't be near her children or whatever), after the orgy and I said: "What the fuck? This shit doesn't make sense at all!" I was expecting some kind of sense, but it's just a schyzofrenic hentai manga, just an absurdly twisted hentai plot, only that they sell it like it's a regular manga, in a regular magazine.
At this point, I thought: "What the fuck is wrong with this people? A series about a dude who bangs his older sister? and his twin sister trying to cut his johnson out? In a regular manga magazine?" That's not an spicy manga like, i.e. GTO, this isn't Adachi's fan service; not even Tenjô Tenge with its "ass and tits" show. This is about fucking incest. And a potential yandere lesbian psycho killer, and some random orgies of human degradation. And that's OK for hentai, just because that's what hentai also means: perverted, twisted.
I don't give a damn crap about hentai manga's plots at all. Hentai manga doesn't need a plot whatsoever, it's just fapping material, period. And is here where AkiSora fails: they cross a line when there's no need to do so.

ok…calm down…so you dont like it, fine…but you say it fails at something its not supposed to be. The story was suppose to be a drama about a love relationship that isnt seen by the public. now like i said maybe you dont like drama or you cant understand the plot too well, but from the way you put your last comment you make seem like you are bashing the manga's theme, not its story. and from your comment if AkiSora was a hentai manga you wouldnt care about the story, maybe. i see what you mean though when you say what you say…sometimes things happen that dont make sense, but i tend to think about stories like this as i read them, so i get the joy of reading stories like this and i mean drama stories. maybe because you are trying to see this as a hentai manga which its not, you dont do what i do or maybe you dont want story and AkiSora is too much story and not enough action for you.

It like me buddy and titanic, he said he the movie was good, but he wouldnt see it twice, because he doesnt like dramas…and NC-17 Mangas like AKiSora are out there for people to just pick up and read, she doesnt choose to rate her things their rating system rates their stuff, so maybe see was gunning for the NC-17 rating, i dont know, but she did say that she would have done the manga differently if the adults only stamp was what she wanted. And dont get me wrong i do enjoy storyless manga because the are normally funny or silly and i like that just as much as i like aa manga with a story.

Wait Oliver, the original To-Love-Ru didn't have 40 boring volumes. It had 18 regular volumes.

I know since I've read the series by myself ;P

Yeah, I'm a fan of To-Love-Ru ever since the first series, that was mostly random fun with really clear drawings. But I can see "Darkness" as a HUGE improvement in the ecchi area :D

Where did I see it having 40 volumes, then ?!? o_O

Awww, you've fixed the number.

Thanks!

Maybe that higher volume count comes from some impressions of a guy that didn't like the series at all :P

I, for one, would have loved more volumes! I read them all in a month xDDD

Just…so….damn….adictive

oh the ecchi fun in the TLR series. It's always over the top and the girls are just so damn cute. (sucks that they're all practically underaged though….)

I would love someone to draw a Yaoi or Bara doujin involving Ishihara and Yukio Mishima in order to mock the former. The latter is most famously known for committing seppuku after attempting a coup that was supposed to restore the Showa Emperor's powers to pre-surrender levels. (He was basically laughed off the stage by the soldiers he was trying to rally) It is almost certain that Mishima was at least bisexual, and the two were really close back in the day. (Hell, there's a photo of the two in the English Wiki right next to Mishima's private life section)

Yeah. It'll be like Glenn Beck dissing Obama all over again. (With FOX losing important sponsors because of him, then ultimately kicking him off the air because they couldn't agree on a contract…)

The otaku-base are better off turning Ishihara into a tsundere mini-b####. That's as far as their power can go; turning what the love/hate into females to masturbate to. They're incapable of changing the situations for THEIR better and are basically still "running away from reality" until they ultimately decide to kill themselves.

(Like that creator of MM!, maybe.) :p

I would also like to know what happened to the Hotfile uploads. Hotfile worked. New hoster doesn't. :(

Ah, yes, To-LOVE-Ru… I thought it looked familiar as i read the first half-dozen or so chapters. I've TRIED to read this lazy hack manga the LAST time I saw Oliver post a TLR doujin that looked good from the samples.

That it apparently ran 18 volumes baffles me. Did all the manga magazine editors who still remember Urusei Yatsura die off? It's a virtual copy of Rumiko Takahashi's first big hit, minus half the writing quality, good characterization, and of course, any originality.

Lum -> Lala
Oni-girl alien -> devil-girl alien

The plot summary of one series, minus a very minor detail or two of the situation setup, can stand in easily for the other. It's a weak immitation of a good, old series. The nonesensical title doesn't endear me any either.

Can't stand to read any farther of TLR. Not even going to try "Darkness", Sorry. :(

Hey guys, i know some of you have a rather harsh comment and basically i agree. The author should just draw hentai.

Well i enjoy it though and I found out the continuation of this series here:

http://www.batoto.net/comic/_/comics/to-love-ru-darkness-r51

It’s already reached episode 15.
It’s getting more and more like hentai with a plot, which i like it.
