Poll ! Do the “Random Post” link work for you, please ?
6 October 2011EDIT : poll closed.
THANK YOU TO ALL VOTERS for the feedback, and also, great thanks are for Moochew, who posted a fix to that problem ! I’ll post a new poll to make sure it’s okay for everyone, now
The poll’s content was :
I’m asking just in case I’m missing a BIG problem, could you, please, tell me if the “Random Post” link is working for you ?
I’ve had reports that it doesn’t work, just a few reports, but span across a large time.
From what I could understand, the persons for whom it doesn’t work are victim of a headers problem (meaning : don’t blame me, blame something along the tubes between my web host and their ISP). But if I’m mistaken and many more people have that problem, then I must know about it
Does the "Random post" link work for you ?
- Yes (38%, 433 Votes)
- No (62%, 709 Votes)
Total Voters: 1,137
Useful Information :
To find more works about a subject ("Dragon Ball" for instance), use the search field in the upper-right corner of the page. When I share enough works by a good artist I create redirection pages with links to all his shared works.
A problem to play videos, or questions like "how to download the zips" or "why does it ask a password, you said there isn't one" ? Read the Help & information page :)
Most elemental rule : if a download fails once, that can happen : try again ! ;-)
You are welcome to share the links to my uploads - I didn't draw the hentai myself anyway - but please, NOT a word-to-word carbon copy, and give my link with it too...

i weas one of those whom reported the problem, so of course i'm going to click no, but oliver is great, he listened to my response and suggested ways that may fix the problem, the attempts where not successful, but unlike other sitemasters, he was willing to hear the complaint, and responded personally to the issue, thanks dude, A+ for effort

Nope, it takes me straight back to the home page.

Forgot to mention, in case it helps:
OS: Mac OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
Browser: FireFox 7.0.1 (latest version)
Notable extensions: Adblock Plus, but disabling it doesn't fix it
Plugins (Flash, Java) are up to date.

Works with Chrome. Takes me to a random post.
on October 6th, 2011 at 8:22 am
Using the latest Chrome Dev, I just go to the main page.

Doesn't work using Chrome 14.0xxxx homepage
on October 6th, 2011 at 8:46 am
It worked the very first time I clicked on it. Every time after that (in any browser) it goes to the main page. I've tried both IE9 and FF7 on two different machines.
I also tried a couple of web proxies (hidemyass & kproxy) and they have the same issue.
However, if you add "=" to the end of the url it works fine (for me at least) http://www.hentairules.net/?random=
Maybe a proxy server or something along the route is misinterpreting the url as having an invalid query string or something and ignoring it?

not working actually, since a few weeks at least.

Windows7, Chrome, it works for me, never used it much, but it generally takes me to something else than what is (randomly) displayed on the page)
on October 6th, 2011 at 10:14 am
Aaaaaargh
OK, I'll do some testing

Windows 7, Firefox (newest version) -> nope, takes me straight to the homepage. Tried it several times in a row.
on October 6th, 2011 at 10:44 am
Italian Windows XP Professional SP3, updated to actual version out
All of my browser (Firefox, Opera, Chrome, all updated to latest version distributed) do not work with the "?random" link, as it just redirects me to the home page. Though, Moochew's link works, the one with the "?random= ", in any browser.
Strange, could have swore I already used it for fun some time ago, and it worked as a charm.

Windows 7, Firefox 7, works for me.
on October 6th, 2011 at 10:52 am
No! oh and I the age pop-up? it appears to me every time a hentairules.net page loads. using Opera atm. I don't have that problem in firefox.
on October 6th, 2011 at 11:14 am
the thing moonchew posted with adding a "=" at the end helped me too
without the link just got me back to homepage but with the "=" it worked fine
on October 6th, 2011 at 11:21 am

on October 6th, 2011 at 12:32 pm
Vista, Firefox 7 -> doesn't work.
on October 6th, 2011 at 2:14 pm
The link in the top bar doesn't work for me. The "Random share =)" link in the right bar does.
on October 6th, 2011 at 5:21 pm
not working on Win 7 + Chrome, but by adding a "=" at the end of the link it takes me to a random share
on October 6th, 2011 at 5:40 pm
i also have firefox but 4.01 (yeah i know i need to update) and i run windows 7.. so far the only thing in common with harco is firefox itself but different version. I get sent to the homepage as well.
on October 6th, 2011 at 5:49 pm
Using Chrome, just like the others it gives me the main page
on October 6th, 2011 at 6:51 pm
Hmm, same as for Ganonmaster. Top bar link fails, right bar works.
on October 6th, 2011 at 7:36 pm
Here it didn't work on the first time, but the = fix does make it work. Seems like a fine bypass.
on October 6th, 2011 at 7:37 pm
doesn’t work with me. i even turned of noscript for you but just stays on the main page
on October 6th, 2011 at 7:38 pm
(suddenly i press it again but now in this page and it works. WATEFUCK)
on October 6th, 2011 at 9:13 pm
It isn't working In Opera 11.51 either.
on October 6th, 2011 at 9:18 pm
Sorry for Double Posting, But Voltain found a fix, It is simply because the link is incomplete
Replace your Link http://www.hentairules.net/?random
To http://www.hentairules.net/?random=
And Oliver, Great site, and keep up your awesome work :P
on October 6th, 2011 at 9:31 pm
Win2k, Opera or IE6 goes to home (also note your pop up warning is mostly off the top left of the screen so only the Exit button is visible when using IE6, but I doubt this configuration is much of a concern)
Vista, IE9 or Opera both go to home page as well
Adding the = at the end of the URL works as suggested above for the couple of variants above I tried, or you can give it any value I think (random=false works for example).
on October 6th, 2011 at 11:07 pm
I use Firefox latest update – whatever that is, and the links always work for me. I just tried a few to test, and random links on each random link page all work.
on October 6th, 2011 at 11:56 pm
worked great
on October 7th, 2011 at 12:40 am
This one work for me. Previous one wasn't.
on October 7th, 2011 at 1:20 am
Firefox 8.0 seems to work alright but sometime doesn't show a picture – which isn't that bad for experianced hentai leechers on your page Oliver!
but why do you put it there between the ads and not to the toplines? I'd like to know.
