To be fair, it seems like they did most of that stuff off-screen in the first few chapters. After they ate all that fruit though it kinda went to shit in that respect. Ran Hiryu is known for doing stories like that (first three chapters of Mama Mia).
Is it just me or is the son finding all the other passengers including the father dead on the opposite side of the island and his reaction somewhat off-putting even with the fruit causing all of it?
