Two quick non-adult manga recommendations, if you don’t know these two series yet, there is hope they’ll make your day ! 
Those two series are :
Binbougami Ga, and Jitsu Wa Watashi Wa
I’m a great fan of these two. The first is over, the latter is still ongoing, and in both cases, there is
– crazy hilarious comedy
– supernatural creatures
– romance (but no harem)
Each of these series have their own idiosyncrasies, of course. Binbougami Ga is “deeper”, with longer plot arcs and also more into the Japanese realm of the gods. While Jitsu Wa Watashi Wa relies much more on the caricatural faces the characters are making. I can at least say those two series seem to share a common bond of loveable crazy characters, and of love alternatively helped and hindered by the supernatural, I’d say, it’s totally worth it 
For the anime lovers, do they even have an anime ? I don’t know, I forgot to check, as myself I’m not really much into viewing anime, I much prefer reading manga scans. I’ll rely on the kind souls in the comments to this post, thank you!

Binbougami Ga ran 13 ep in 2012, Jitsu Wa Watashi Wa is scheduled to air as an anime this year.

Suicide Island – an island where people who've tried and failed at suicide are banished to. They either kill themselves, or learn to live again (and possibly die trying). I'm only 4 vol in (of the 9 available, publication and scanlation both ongoing), but so far its very good.
Definitely not the same comedy niche, but, yeah, this mangaka's series are really interesting.
Even the one featuring street fighting (argh, I'm forgetting its name) was deep, interesting, thoughtful.
Good reads
Not really into comedy manga lately. Mostly I read seinen, warfare type, horror, psychological, mystery, gender bender and yaoi. Not counting the hentai, of course. I used to read a lot of shounen, but kinda burnt out on it.

i am a big fan of "Jitsu wa watashi wa…" it's one of the best thing i read recently ( and, trust me, i read a LOT )…reached chapter 100 some days ago…it is worth reading.

The funny part is that, as far as I can observe, the foreigners ending their posts with "sorry for my bad English", write, in average, in better English than the natives who don't really care about how they'll be typing on the internet ^^

Binbougami Ga is one of my most favorite manga series of all time. The main character has all the "fortune" (fame and wealth) that anyone could ever ask for, but she is *miserable* because everyone is jealous of her, and she has no friends.
The story really can tug at the heartstrings. One of the most powerful moments (to me at least) is when she finally lets her guard down, opens herself up to potential heartbreak, and finally makes ONE friend.
In any case, give this one a shot. I don't think you will be dissapointed.

Oliver, I recommend you a non-adult (kind of) manga, Erotic Fairy Tales – The Little Mermaid. There are a bunch of others in the series, but the little mermaid is the only one that has a lot of chapters. It is quite vanilla with a bit of betrayal, but that gets amended after a while. dude i can't thank you enough. i already knew Binbougami Ga, but Jitsu Wa Watashi Wa is sky-rocketing to my favorite list. been a while since i've laughed so much. if you have more good material like this keep them coming (<- not the best sentence to use on an hentai site i think).
