Well there's actually plenty more to say. Grisaia is not the trashy harem you make it out to be. Grisaia actually has a serious and awesome story that deals with dark themes and emotional and traumatic issues. The characters are also well-developed with really interesting back-stories and characterization.
I like ya, Oliver. But you judge things way too easily. Some folks might think this is crap if they see this page and miss out on a great and well-written VN.
And yet, it all starts with an incredibly flawed, unrealistic and unconvinging overused plot device :-/
The popularity of this VN means there is something behind it, however there is such an inhabituation to this poor plot device, than most people don't even realize how bad it is…

Well this "contrived plot device" is actually explained well in the VN. It's not a lone guy in an all-girl school just because hijinks and lulz. It's actually a small group of problem kids in a special school that was recently established. Just so happens the MC is the first male that was transferred there because the MC isn't actually the average dude he seems to be. There's like only five of 'em there. It's been numerously pointed out how strange this set-up this, tongue-in-cheek self-aware humor and all.
Don't you think it's a bit baseless to easily dismiss this series just because of one wiki summary that make it look like it's just another average harem? Trust me. This is nothing like your average harem. Even the "romcom" segments are sharply written and totally pokes fun of the tropes.
Never even heard of Grisaia before this doujinshi, which prompted me to seek out the manga adaptation in order to put it in focus. And I have nothing against harem set-ups, if written well.
The old saying goes that there are only seven basic stories or plots in the world, but an infinite number of ways to tell them. Honestly glad I sought it out, because Grisaia is refreshingly unlike all other basic, run-of-the-mill, disposable harems. Having read what has been scanlated of the manga so far, I can go into this upload with a better appreciation. (I should say that many of the doujinshis served up here are based off of original sources I'm not hip to, and so this place is a double gateway of sorts into my manga reading pleasures.)
