Senran Kagura is basically about schools of ninjas that fight each other and yoma in daily life…ahh screw it. It's about kunoichis with boobs (except Mirai and untransformed Ryoubi).
Life and hometown.
To elaborate a little: the blonde (Yomi) hated the black-haired one (Ikaruga) due to the sheer difference in classes and because Yomi's parents died from the sheer crushing pressure of their extreme poverty. The games and anime actually has some pretty serious storylines injected here and there, which is kind of hilarious given the character designs (not to mention chest sizes) going around. The games — well, at least the two I've actually played on the 3DS — are generally fun and the show is pretty harmless. (And kinda-sorta follows the story of the first game.)

Still, just wondering, the fact she won't use her blade because the opponent wields a strap-on dildo, this is bullshit, right ? There can not be any canon-wise explanation, right ?
No, that sounds kind of weird to me too. You know, despite the fact that Senran Kagura is a franchise where nobody really dies despite the fact that most of them wield bladed weaponry and aren't afraid to use them.
Plus, the closest the show (and the games, as far as I can tell) gets to dildos are the sushi rolls the girls eat from time to time. Neither of the two girls are particularly sexually aggressive, though they do become friends, sorta, eventually.
