Y'know, lately I've been liking Kisaragi Gunma's mangas less and less. They're still very hot, but many of the plots leave a bad aftertaste. They don't have any love. What's even worse, it's not even that there is only lust, which would be alright with me. It's that there is love involved, but it always goes wrong and the people involved console themselves by having lots and lots of illicit sex, not always with each other.
Take Mai Favorite, for example. It looked like it was building up to a confession between Mai and Shoutarou, with Mai becoming his lover and exclusive maid, but after the confession, the other maids barge in and are all like "well, that's great, but that doesn't make Shoutarou your exclusive lover too, it's his duty to have sex with all of us" and Shoutarou realising that as long as Mai is a maid and he's the master of the mansion, they'll never be able to be a couple. So what does he do? He decides to fuck as many maids as he can, while Mai is clearly disappointed.
That's the kind of plot I hate. It's not NTR, but it's almost as bad.
Well, either Mai's disappointed or she never loved him anyway and was just playing along. I can't decide which one's worse. They both make me want to kill Kisaragi.
