I regard Teacher And Student as the BEST manga I’ve ever seen by the artist Fuuga We meet again Fuuga’s idiosyncrasies : mostly expressionless faces, characters from other mangas making guest star appearances (all the artist’s mangas make a single “ecosystem“), the care for a consistent scenario with a good ending… |
Obviously, the main theme is a teacher (klutz, unpredictable, strong, free as a cat) – student (responsible, mature) relationship. Reading the building of their relation, enjoying the girl’s cat-like behaviour and expressions, wondering how it would reach a predictable ending without failing with a cliché (it was NOT a failure fortunately ! 
), it was really pleasant to read, and there was enough well-drawn 100% happy sex (the drawings were the BEST I’ve seen by Fuuga !) to make my day

There's at least one more, but I'm not sharing that one because it is very straight into loli. Apart from that, I'm not too sure.
Otokonoko Onnanoko I believe that one is called. There is another he has done that is now complete but has not been translated called Setsuna Omoi. I will investigate this one and if possible might commision its translation.
I correct myself the one Oliver is talking about is Miwaka no Tobira. It deals with the relationship between Asami Naito and her brother. Despite the fact she is the same age as Rika she looks a hell of a LOT younger so you can see why this is considered Loli. Despite the age of the character. There are actually some quite disturbing parts to it. I only have it for the sake of completion. It is the worst of FUUGA's works in my opinion.
Setsuna Omoi..a.k.a Painful feelings does indeed continue the story within this "ecosystem" concentrating on the characters of Rika Kurosaki (who features prominantly in Miwaka no Tobira and Yuwaka no Tobira) and Saya Fukahara (who appears in Teacher and Student).
I feel a commissioning project coming on here.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have been waiting for such a long time for this one to come out. This is the latest in the particular series of books dealing with the characters in the school where this is set. I imagine FUUGA will eventually get round to doing a story about Rika Chan and the School Nurse who seem to be the only two characters who have not found their soul mates.

Ah, the real name (in japanese) for this manga is Kyoushi to Seito to (Kyoushi = Teacher, Seito = Student). I like very much Fuuga's mangas, maybe I'm a fan (I also liked Door of Fascination). I'm also waiting a translation of Setsunai Omoi (Painful Heaviness), but if anyone translate it, i'm going to do it from Japanese. ^^
Still, I'm a real fan of Tomohiro Kouda, so I'm waiting for his Raw manga "Second Stage".
Actually, I'm translating only Petit Roid 3 from English for Brazillian readers, but soon, I'll start with long mangas like Fuuga's.

This is the Japanese custom, to NOT express emotions. Look at the restrained faces during sex : you have to GUESS, it's never obvious.

i about time this came out. man i was starting to think it would never get done. oh in case anyone is interested it looks like triangle blue vol. 2 is out. and it ends like all lilim darkness movies end. the bad guy gets the girls the girls become whores and the good guy is a weakling that is dumb as a box of rocks.

I've actually had this translated for a good 3 months, but it's been waiting to get edited by Fayt…
I don't want to say anything bad about the guy who did this since translating Fuuga isn't always easy, nor do I want to complain about how long it's been taking to get edited by Fayt… but it is a bit frustrating that it's taking so long that other people ended up translating it

It has been the same for Viva Freedom by Tuna Empire, Ero-Otoko has taken it on. But in that case, the "lost" donations have been reattributed to something else.
In my country, we have a proverb saying that someone has bad the eyes larger than the belly. It might have been Fayt's case – and of course, he might have been through particular circumstances, it's his life after all, we can't selfishly request from him to sacrifice his real life… But it's true, if he couldn't keep up anymore, he should have made just a little annoucement about it.
He said multiple times that he didn't like the story and it wasn't a priority, so maybe that is why it still isn't done.
say, if you read Fuuga's works..which should I read first? because they're connected for some reason right like in the character chart?

I have an honest question to any who wishes to answer.. Why is it that when ever a younger guy sees breasts or a naked woman in mangas he (almost) always gets a nosebleed?? Yes I find it funny that they do, I'm just wondering why? (laugh at me if you wish but I am american and that never happens in comic books only manga so I figured I'd ask) Other wise this is an awesome share. Thanks again Oliver.
I had this sitting around in one of my files:
In Japanese manga, the nosebleed is a visual shorthand/euphemism for sexual arousal, specifically an erection in males (which makes it all the more odd when used with a female character.) When blood shoots from the nose explosively, and in ridiculous quantity, the implication is an actual ejaculation.
it's kind of like a joke making fun of the heightened blood pressure that occurs during arousal… you see, blood rushes to a man's head when he get's sexually aroused, and since they usually can't show the lower "head", they show it rushing to the other head… thus the nosebleed has become synonymous with sexual arousal
I also have to say I love the whole "vampire tooth" thing the teacher has through the book.
it's actually a product of the lack of orthodontics in Japan… it used to be in style to a degree, but not as much anymore now that braces are becoming more widely used

First of all, Setsuna Omoi is already fully funded as a donor project for those who don’t know. Gio will be editing that. Second, I already said this, but I will still be editing the final chapter. I think the editing needs to be done for the final chapter for consistency and to make it look good, no offense to the translator. If people wanna complain about me then fine go right ahead.

Even years later, I still love this story. Their relationship has humor, love, tension, humorous tension, humorous love, and tense love.
Also, the guy goes apeshit on an asshole who's making his lady cry. That's a +10000 in my book.
