A question about the translation of the last two untranslated chapters of Angraecum
Hello everyone,
Two weeks ago, I was sharing the almost entirely translated Angraecum manga, with the two still untranslated chapters included, expressing hopes that someone would translate it, or commission a translator to do it.
Two weeks later, I’m back for news
Please, would you know if someone is in the process of translating it ?
Or would you know if someone has commissioned its translation from someone ?
Otherwise, if I don’t receive a confirmation in the next days, I’ll commission it myself
But please, I HATE being ninja’ed and discover the stuff I paid for has also been translated and released – before my version – by someone else… So, please, if you know of someone else already on it, let me know ? A waste of money is close to a sin, in my eyes
Unless you have someone else in mind, I'd be willing to translate the missing two chapters for ya.
how many chapters is this really, i thought i read the ending in english when the other 2 heroines came back some years after, …or there's more after that? i just need to confirm the total # of chapters b/c it wasn't clear to me in your post ><
The two chapters Oliver is talking about are *not* related to the main story, they are just one shots that were in the same tank. The main story is already complete, he is just trying to make the *tankoubon* complete.
ah alright, thanks.
My only suggestion Oliver would be that you run this past Fayt. When the tank first came out, he wasn't that thrilled about working on it, but a considerable amount of time has gone by since then. If he still has zero interest, then just move on to someone else. Buy if he *is* interested in working on it, I would say he deserves that chance since he did the main story already.
Fayt has enough on his plate as it is. There would be no telling when he'd finally get around to doing the last remaining chapters. And well, since Oliver is commissioning this, he shouldn't be obligated to go to Fayt first because he did the main story.
In any case, my only problem is that everything else, save for these two chapters should they be commissioned, has been done with magazine scans. As the Quality Whore that I am, I intend to change that little by little so I can have me an H-manga even more worth keeping than it already is.
Yeah, but it would mean more money. I don't say it isn't worth it, but it doesn't bring enough "value added" for me, a magazine -> manga translation…
*sigh* You are right of course. I guess I just kept hoping that Fayt would change his mind. I was *so* happy when the tank came out, and I was *positive* that Fayt was going to jump on it and finish it. But 8 or 9 months have gone by now, and yeah, Fayt is still backed up with stuff that was fully paid for over a year ago. Part of that is due to the whole DGB disaster, but regardless of the reason for it, he does have enough on his plate.
As for the last part of your comment, are you saying that you personally are going to edit the existing translation onto the tank scans? If so, you are my new hero. :-)
Somebody actually mentioned about the tank coming out and he said he had no interest in re-editing it. Considering what all he still has to do, it's understandable that he wouldn't be able to fit it in. But that's alright.
And yea, that's my plan. It'll be a pet project of mine to do alongside my other edits. It'll take plenty of time, but I intend to make an archive worthy H-manga out of this.
Hi ! I've translated the first chapter of Angraecum here : http://www.mediafire.com/?8vl6c6r4ic666z3
I'm very confident that the translations are good and correct but since it's my first tranlation it's better to have it check by someone just to make sure.
