Guys, girls, this manga is awesome, and at last, and regretfully in the same time, it is finally over Yanagida-kun To Mizuno-san is a tsundere-based happy sex manga, both funny, arousing, and moving, with love, lots of love ! The two main characters aren’t too archetypical, the secondary characters are interesting, they have their own personalities and sub-stories (funnier than the main arc, by far), and the ending wasn’t too obvious (at some point – you’ll understand -, I thought I was going to scream in agony : the artist knows how to play with our nerves). |
Update : and from now on, thanks to the great work of H9E, the manga is entirely uncensored. FUCK YEAH !!! WOOT !

I really don't get it. What's with the word "vanilla"?
Usually, vanilla refers to hentais that do not go out of the standards (no violence, rape, torture, etc). Such stories are romantic and most of the time are limited two a one-on-one relationship. In short, it refers to love stories.

I'm a bit hesitant to commit to a purchase just yet even though I really, really want to — Icarus Publishing has a track record of cutting a few pages here and there (see "Any Way I Want It…" for some really sneaky censorship), and even Eros Comix removed a full chapter from their recent Love Selection release….

The only thing i didnt like is that they didnt mention what happened to the ex-boyfriend and the little sister. Apart from that this manga is perfect and balanced.
They did, a little bit. There are marriage pictures in the final set of photos the heroine is looking at, look again
i read both volumes today and it was awesome i love every bit of the manga, it had that nice fuzzy felling at the end

This really is one for the ages. Thirty, forty, maybe even in fifty years from now, when we are well on our ways of becoming a bunch of old pervs, we will ask each other: hey, do you remember the 26th of April 2011? And the answer will always be: hell yeah, that is the day Yanagida-kun To Mizuno-san was completely translated.
And then some youngster, who just happens to walk by and hear us mumbling about the past, will ask: Yanagida-kun To Mizuno-san? What the hell is that? And we will get grumpy and angry because of his ignorance, beat him with out walking canes and direct the punk to the Louvre, where this manga will surely be displayed as 'pièce de résistance' for years to come, right along masterpieces like Witchcraft and Sei So Tsui Dan Sha.
