This book is actually quite old (circa 2004) so Nagare Ippon stories were still pure. I seriously don't like his new direction.

Yea, one of his earlier works. You ever get the feeling that the reason he went in the NTR/rage route after having some very vanilla early works (Offside Girl, Turning Point, this one) is because someone cheated on him? I don't know, he made a very drastic change. Something could have happened to him.

Yea, that's certainly a possibility. It's probably a more reasonable possibility, too (he would have had to have gone through some really fucked up shit to change him like that). It just seems strange. I mean, there are many h-mangaka out there who do both vanilla and NTR, but I can't think of a mangaka who went from doing almost strictly vanilla to doing almost strictly NTR (and pretty extreme NTR, too). And there's obviously a huge market for NTR, or there wouldn't be NTR h-manga. So much so, that I would imagine you wouldn't need to do vanilla before doing NTR (there are some mangaka who seem to have done NTR from the get go).
This change of his is one of the reasons I continue reading his work even though I'm not a fan of NTR/rape/mind break. I just find his transformation interesting. Anyway, I hope he didn't go through something so drastic that he would start coming up with the shit he comes up with now. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Heh, that's what I said when I saw the announcement at Fakku. "Hm? A Visual Novel? Not interested!" Downloaded it either way and now I'm hooked.
There are five routes to take and each route will take about five hours to complete, I think. If you *do* have some spare time left and are interested in a cute, sometimes bittersweet story, then I — as a skeptic when it comes to VN's! — can recommend it wholeheartedly.

Nagere Ippon doing vanilla, now here's a surprise. Well, not really, because if I remember correctly the second half of Boku No Shiranai Kanojo No Kao featured vanilla as well, but still. It *is* a nice surprice, because with Nagare Ippon you almost immediately brace yourself for some generic NTR these days.
Did I say generic? Yeah, I have read the third chapter of Bug* today and it is disappointing. I mean, it was not even translated and yet I could guess what was going to happen and what the girl was saying. I enjoy reading Nagare Ippons works, but he is losing his edge when it comes to NTR, I think. Maybe he should mix things up with some nice vanilla — I certainly wouldn't complain.
* Just to be sure: stay away from Bug if you don't like NTR. It's disappointing because it is predictable, but I don't think that will prevent you from raging if you don't like the genre.

Well, we can't ask for a Hentai work to have a decent story, but it's true that it is really easy to see the ending with a NTR story (well we can say the same thing with vanilla stuff^^). And the way how the story is brought, is completely ridiculous in most cases. Another World from Yuzuki N dash is the only example of NTR story I have in mind with "realistic flavour" (at the same time, i usually skip NTR stuff^^),…
I've read the RAW today..and I must say that the disappointment came (at least for me) from the fact that after many speculations on how unique will next chapters be, Nagare chose the most uninteresting route to finish this story.
Also because it ended in ch 3
