At first, I felt angry against the mangaka who chose this storyline. But then, I thought again, and felt angry against Japan, the country in which such stupid shit CAN happen. Look at that : a highschool girl marries one of her male teachers, but they don’t have sex together, nor do they have a marriage ceremony yet. Unable to wait, she welcomes it when her husband’s son, same age as her, jumps her. Lots of sex follow, blah, blah, blah. No, seriously, da fuck, Japan, why is it socially OK for such a marriage to actually take place anyway ? Of course it can’t end well. |

Well, as a high school teacher, I often hear about other (mainly male) teachers marrying one of their student (and changing career right after). I don't know how many of these story are true but my guess is that it happen about 3 to 8 times a year in my country (France).
But I truly don't see how someone would want to marry one of their student (and get through all the trouble that implies) without waiting to bang him/her.
Personally, if the girl/boy is of legal age in your country/state, I don't see any problem with her/him dating her/his teacher assuming the teacher can somehow not be biased grading that student's schoolwork. Especially if they keep going out even after the student passes the class. Of course, it should be required to let the administration know that they're dating once they start. Maybe they can switch him/her to a different class?
Although if the teacher is like 60 and the student is like 18, then I might be like nopedotjpg. But if the teacher is only like 10-15 years older I don't see a problem with it.
Hooking up with a past student after s/he graduates (and never going out before that) is perfectly fine too in my opinion.

You need to calm down and realize that marriage between teachers and students rarely occur, but when they do, they happen EVERYWHERE. In fact, I would put money on Japan having relatively low rates of teacher-student marriages compared to other countries.
I belive what Oliver want means are "teacher-student marriages" witch NO SEX at all only happens in Japan.
