Free gift, a wallpaper for y’all ! :)
Unless your desktop is cursed with windows 8 and its atrocious new MetroUI desktop, I have a cool wallpaper to suggest you
Here, a Calvin And Hobbes wallpaper (direct link, or…)
There’s a trick to that wallpaper.
I configured my wallpapers rotation so that this precise wallpaper comes approximately once a month. And when it comes, I have no choice but to realize it’s time to clean up my desktop ^^;; Maybe it could help you guys too ^^
(Sorry about the Windows 8 rant, but it’s plagued my experience configuring a computer bought for kids… Maybe it’s fine for cellphones, but… desktops ? Hey Microsoft, give us a break, that won’t even help you promote your future cellphone OS market share, that’s just as successful as Google’s fruitless effort with their Plus network !)

The heck are you talking about, Oliver? You can still set wallpapers on Windows 8. >_> Also, Metro isn't the desktop. The desktop is the desktop.
That's genius.
Too bad I never bother cleaning my desktop.
Let's face it — it's much easier to just create a bunch of shortcuts in the 'favorites' section of Explorer, and also to simply use "everything.exe", right guys? Guys? Uh….guys?
…Awww…
Why open Explorer when you can just set them on the taskbar? D:
Everything FTW!!!
your desktop is such a mess, i am disappointed, son.
I AGREE WINDOWS 8 IS A PAIN IN THE BUTT I TRIED MAKING HEADS OR TELLS OF IT ON MY MOM'S LAPTOP BUT GAVE YUP BFORE I SMASHED THE COMUTER ALONG WITH THAT CURSED WINDOWS 8 MSY MICROSOFT BURN IN HELL FOR CREATING IT AS A COMPUTER OS !
I really don't understand why people hate Windows 8. I like it more than Windows XP and Vista. <_>
Only thing I miss is Aero Glass.
Didn't even know there was a windows 8. And I'm still alive, so it can't be that important. I have Windows 7 ultimate and I like that. But to me, it's important that I can set it up like I had set up my old xp OS. The same goes for Browsers. But with those the most important thing to me is "Super-Drag and Drop" like I have on Maxthon 3. Click on a link (or whatever), hold it and drag it to the side a bit, release and it opens in a new tab. I hate Firefox for having to right click and select "open in new tab" or having to drag the link to the tab-bar. Who the fuck has time for that.
that's been on my rotation list for years. I saw the picture and had to do a double take. Calvin and Hobbes were a big part of my childhood. now hentai plagues my adulthood. lol
w8, are you telling me is there a way to have win7 change desktop daily all by itself?, by only setting the images i want tro have in the background?
Control Panel->Change Desktop Background
-Select multiple pictures then Set it to change how ever long you want..
many thanks
Yes, and you can even determine the periodicity of the wallpaper changes
Oliver you don't have to apologise for W8, that's MS's job.
BTW, thanks for providing all of these downloads.

Why not just hold the Ctrl key (new tab) or the Shift key (new window) when you click on a link?
It also works with the Back and Forward buttons.
…why not just middle click the link? <_<
Me, I do a middle click…
@ lehnerus2000: Why would I want to hold a button to do something simple? Would take a second hand. If I did that, I might as well do the right click action.
@durp and ollie: Thanx. Didn't even know about that one (obviously). It's a fraction of a second faster than my way, so it'd good to know.
Glad to help.
If you're all about fractions of seconds saved when using a computer, try the shift-INS key combo to Paste, most of the time it happens to be faster to achieve with your fingers than the usual control-V.

My bad.
I thought that you were complaining about having to drag links.
Middle click also works on the Forward and Back buttons.
