But we do care when we aren't credited, which Oliver tends to do (otherwise someone in the comments mentions who it was if he forgot and he usually adds it in later). At least he isn't like some sites that remove credit pages entirely, those are always still there (assuming they existed in the first place) in Oliver's archives. Multiple credit pages even, sometimes.
I guess Oliver is too much of a pussy to respond himself because he doesn't like his shitty practices to be pointed out, so he sends his little bitchboy to reply instead. "At least this, at least that", so you acknowledge that your practices are bullshit, that just makes you even more of a shitbag for doing it anyway.

And actually, that’s exactly what it means. I’m friends with quite a few scanlators, several of whom are in our IRC and I help out with stuff when they ask. Granted it’s impossible to have actually spoken with everyone, but it’s a good amount (I said “most” anyway), and the ones I know, know the other ones I don’t and they could’ve easily passed on the message. There’s only one person I know who’s butthurt about Oliver and that’s Maria from EroMangaGirls and all she was mad about was the fact he didn’t link to her site (which makes me believe you’re her). Because it’s so hard to Google. Furthermore people like Red Vodka and Biribiri get pissed because of stuff that Oliver won’t post. And to answer your question about lolicon… I already fucking answered it. I clearly stated Oliver considers somethings no one else considers loli, loli and then stuff everyone considers loli, he doesn’t. Which, ofc, annoys us scanlators the most.
I never said I didn’t know about Adblock, but if you’re using it you shouldn’t be seeing any popups or ads anyway, so what the fuck are you even complaining about? Also, if you think Oliver makes much of ad revenue you’re sorely mistaken. As at least 75% of the internet have adblockers now (they even come with antiviruses and popup blocking is built-in browsers), getting any money from ads is nearly imposible. And if you were smart at all, you’d make a Stylish or Greasemonkey script that removes all that nonsense around the posts and/or comments.

I don't like e-hentai personally, their web interface has puzzled me eversince, I never managed to get used to it, so I avoid that place as much as I can. You won't find me there.
But, hey, I DEFINITELY recognize it is undoubtedly the most complete hentai archive site of all time. Hats off, it's admirable, and good as it is. Even I, when I decensor or commission something, I do the effort to post it, not just on my blog, but also on ehentai too, because I want the greater possible number of people to have a chance to enjoy it.

If ehentai falls some day, it's got such a central role, it will be a horrible commotion. So, more seriously, the internet needs MORE places where hentai is shared and mirrored, not LESS. More communities. More descriptions helping the leechers. More gatherings around tastes. More file hosts mirrors. More resilience.

There are lots of other hentai sharing blogs, lots, lots, lots. In English, in French, in god knows how many other languages, hosted everywhere, from blogspot to self-hosted, here, there, all of them sharing scanlated hentai.
Of all these hentai-sharing blogs, I might be the only one, or almost the only one, caring to adress credits. Caring to give a long enough description to avoid downloading stuff you'll find shocking. Caring to create smaller versions to help people with shitty internet. Only one or two others hentai-sharing-blog webmasters paid for hentai translations (me, I paid for many volumes, plus many chapters). Only rare hentai-sharing webmasters shared decensorings they did themselves (me, I decensored full volumes and plenty of single chapters). How many hentai-sharing webmasters have done proofreading with scanlators, or provided translation (from French to English, 3 complete volumes) like me ?
I never cared to "target" the ehentaiers or the big hentai addicts already knowing everything, my site would pale in comparison. Me, I'm trying to do some "evangelization", to be as newbie-friendly as possible, with hope to convert NEW people to hentai, to loving this wonderful, perverted, twisted, arousing, moving and artful side of Japan and of porn. And I believe I succeeded in doing so a great number of times, while the nebwie to hentai, upon discovering exhentai would a/ enjoy a cute panda, and /b, if the panda protection forgot to work, he would give up after not understanding anything; me I'm trying to be newbie-friendly, and my focus on vanilla and happy sex with love is part of it (okay, it's mostly just my own preference ^^).
I also almost daily recommend scanlators to people contacting me by email, I've got my .txt list to save time, with name, personal opinion and observations, and website. In terms of influence, I triggered a lot of scanlated hentai to appear, a lot of commissioners giving money to scanlators.

All the self-hosted blogs impose ads, because hosting ain't cheap, I now self-host my blog, sites belonging to friends or relations (the family-member ones took some time finding how to hide from advanced queries that they were on my server ^^), I now self-host the picture galleries rather than relying on third-party hosts, that's not coming cheap.
There's no way I'm relying on a third-party host (blogspot deleted me without warning in 2007, it still hurts). And when you're self-hosted, you just don't cover costs, you cover them with a bonus in case of hard times (like having to cough up big money by surprise, or pay a technician when you don't understand jack shit about what is wrong); the money I earn IRL from my job is not to be spent on my hentai hobby, that hobby has to be self-sufficient. Plus, if it's something on which I spend more than one hour daily, even because that's a passion of mine, I expect to get some bonus in exchange as gratification.
Just do like everyone and use adblock.
Adding files to my shares, it's something I did from the very beginning because I was eager to gather more visitors, it's a narcissus side of mine, I don't deny it.
