There’s only one share today. Stuff piled up, I had work to do, my kids wanted to see their dad, my wife and I passionately made love, and… and… and… Okay, it’s because I played Creeper World 3 and didn’t see time fly :D

*

While I’m at it, it’s been two weeks I announced it already, I’ll remind you of the Hentairules Gigatorrent.
ALL of the Hentairules shares since the very beginning till last March. 2007-2013.
If there is old stuff with dead links and you want to get it, or if you want to share the love and add this forever in your seedbox so that the torrent lives forever, hey, you’re welcome to stuff yourself ;)

Also, could I ask for a bit of help regarding this torrent ?
I didn’t notice some folder names were really super long and contained archives whose names were super long too. I discovered I can’t move the torrent to a sub-directory (something I’d want to make space), or else some items will have a path too long, above the max_path of 255 chars for Windows. Which won’t let utorrent or any client I know handle the torrent correctly.
Would there be a relatively easy solution (with Windows7), or am I fucked in that regard, I can’t seed unless I keep it in the root of my partitions ?

Hey, do you follow me on Twitter ? I occasionally announce “incoming stuff;)

A single torrent would take eternities to download.
Would you not make year torrents? Obviously, once you have complete volumes you have to reason include the partial release. And it would be even more interesting if you could make folders by author, thus someone is not interest in a specific mangaka (as Tuna Empire, for example), he/she would simply need the unselect him. Also, someone who intends to download everything from a specific artist (as Gunma Kisaragi), will find his works easily.

The point of the torrent really is just to have a unified library rather than for people to download it in its entirety. Of course you CAN do that and seed it while you're at it, but most people will get what they want from it and no more.

Alexandrine, you must take two things into account :
– I never have enough time on my hands (which TOTALLY excludes yearly torrents, I made my torrent by "simply" taking my long-term storage of the shares and cleaning it, with a few improvements)
– I have a brain (the contents are already sorted by artist, quite obviously I may say :D )

I did not mean to be rude. The fact is that some torrents on the web join packages and packages with no order, and I bet you have already seen them.:$

And I've read far enough comments by you in the past to know you weren't rude, not you, don't worry. I wanted to leave no space for confusion, not act offended :)

I could elaborate maybe. Yearly torrents would require much more advance filtering and sorting. And so, much more time to make them. I don't have that time.
If you read my torrent page, you'll find that the way I did my torrent was, mostly, a simplification and cleanup of my main storage location. This is not compatible with date-based sorting.

Am I going to be QCing this? I would’ve much preferred if you had sent me it chapter by chapter instead of the whole tank all at once, tho. There’s no possible way I can QC a whole tank in 4 hours. It’s gonna take like 30-60 minutes per chapter.

As I said, it's "incoming", for the moment. I plan to release the chapters one by one or two by two. The first chapter is shota, which I don't like, so it will be released alongside with the chapter 2, for instance.

I have a couple of points to make:
1. MAX_PATH is 260
2. you can make hard links to and from any folder or drive. This might help with the storage problem.
3. @Alexandrine Library you say "single torrent would take eternities to download" and later say "… he/she would simply need the unselect …". I don't see why a single torrent has any disadvantage. Simply select only the stuff you want.
4. @Oliver in the torrent you have the same images twice in some instances. The full archive and the split archive.

Thanks for responding :)

1 – Max_path minus final slash and minus initial x: backslash equals 256, and I wonder if there's not a special character somewhere bringing it down to 255.

2 – What do you mean, hard links ? Store it in the subdirectory of my choice, and then "mMklink /j" it to a false location at a partition's root ?
When done, that will take away the "I need to move these 230 GB away from an important hard disk" problem, true. If it works.
Though, I'll still have this directory mention in the middle of nowhere.
Hmmm… I'll have to test to know if it works at least…

3 – Alexandrine Lib didn't open the torrent to see for himself, I guess

4 – I did my best to clean the shit out of the torrent, but yeah, there are occasional duplicates. Sorry about that. As for too many things I endeavour, I am forced to perform a severe "balancing" (would "arbitration" be of proper use in English ?) between "time spent" and "worthiness of the operation". If I had to spend twice more time to clean it further, I wouldn't have made the torrent at all.
