As of usual when ✔ the images are in high enough resolution and ✔ the archive is quite big for its number of pictures, and ✔ it offers a significant gain, and ✔ I have enough time to do it, if it may help, I’m offering you a smaller version, in which I resized the images, here from 2000 px to standard 1600 px resolution. The zip shrank from 35 MB to 5 MB.
Personally, I prefer it for reading, it takes less disk space, and it’s the version I used for the preview pics.

Why are you not using progressive images in your posts? Progressive images are smaller in size than baseline.
You mean the big preview pictures ? I let photoshop handle the best compression settings, only telling the program what final size I want, and opting for a larger size if I see that starts looking bad.
I thought so. Btw good job on those previews. It must take some time, you even decensor them.
From your answer i figure out that you don't care about progressive or not, and i simply thought that there must be some reason why you wont use progressive. So that answers itself.
I am pretty sure you know what progressive is, but for those that don't i will shortly explain. There are 2 types of images baseline and progressive. Baseline images loads on sites from up to down (you can't see full image until it's loaded), while progressive shows full image but mosaic.. blurred until its loaded completely.
And the thing is.. progressive images over 10KB are always smaller in size. It's not exacly much but even 1KB or so is still less. Thats why i asked this question.
In photoshop when you save for web, you can tick either progressive or optimized. I suppose by default optimized is used. Since you set up size of image, it will increase quality. Of course not by much, when quality is from 1 to 100, and this post preview is 84 quality. It would probably be 85 with the same size.
Your smaller versions are progressive. (the size difference in bigger files are much more visible)
