This is the story of a male otaku getting his hand on an easy to manipulate hypnotizing device, and he steals every girl under Raku’s nose – basically. The sex and the drawings are on the better side of hentai (I tend to associate dark scenarii with crappy art, fortunately, here, that was mostly OK).
On top of all, I was laughing. But, hardly more seriously, I couldn’t entirely dislike this share because it attacks and destroys something I don’t like much : harem mangas.
In my eyes, this branch of manga sounds even less credible than crazy shit like magical loli girls. When you think of it, there is something revolting, cruel with harem mangas. The women are magically brainwashed (hah ! Brainwashing, again !) into being head over heels for just one boy and made to rival each other, the whole point of their lives become the boy they yearn for. First, it’s unfair for the rest of the male popuplation, and, second, on top of all, it’s unfair to the heroines : eventually, the male hero will end up choosing one girl only, leaving all the other girls heartbroken and without a reason to live, feeling they’re unworthy of living.
Damn it, Raku deserved it, vengeance !! (I know it’s bad, but, ah, come on ^^)

I agree to some extend with your post Oliver, although I like those Harem kind of stories (but is not my favorite), I simply view it in a different way that you do, for example I look at all the girls at the Harem, then I choose the one which I mostly think is a good pair with the main character (well by my standards) and simply cheer for her as long as the story goes on, what I hate about this type of stories is the lack of conclusion that usually happens at the end (like the main character being unable to choose one, or all the female characters keeps the damn status kou) and so on with an open type of ending.
On another note of a Harem type of story being less credible than magical loli girls, (I know that you where being sarcastic) but I do know of a real Harem scenario from someone close to me (and is not that guys just talk), I been witness to it more than I wish… (although sometimes I get that envoys type of feelings and some times I get the thank god that did not happen to me depending of the situation), but by my observations this scenario happens due to the guy or girl keeping that damn status kou instead of choosing one.
That shitty harems you are talking about, in true Harem, mc takes care of every girl, and thay dont really have need for competition.
It is unfair only in case you are not mc.
That manga is over rated all that stupid thing is doing is recycling over an over nothing is resolved it just prolonged suffering crap thst has no right first place that's the spot it's taking
Revolting and Cruel ?
I have spent my early life fawning over women who had ton of different suitor , in most case I had a fun time doing so , but still what's so revolting or cruel in watching the reverse happen ?
There are case of male men having multiple women doing quite the same but in most case women have a little court entertaining the idea of relationship with them , this is neither cause for resent or abuse, nobody is force one way or another and having a broken heart is a good thing in most eventuality (it help you mature).

Although, at the core, most harem mangas deserve my criticism. We don't see the heroines have small forgettable crushes, in most cases we see them placing their target boy on an altar in the very center of their lives. It's weird and deranging, if we must be honest.
I haven't read the manga this doujin is about and to charge my case I don't know that many harem mangas so I assume we are talking about mangas like Good Ending ,Ichigo 100% love hina and the like .
I was fond of those when I was younger ,I don't share that enthusiasm anymore , I think we see a lot of small forgettable crush in those on both side , but the plot is made too develop into huge drama, like being force to live in a house full of young maiden who do not take kindly to male presence . Through the magic of Nippon culture and mangas exaggeration we see them blossoming into obsession but they are not so distant from reality .
Small forgettable crush are the essence of what a teenager is , in my modest opinion , their whole life center around two thing , their social position is the hierarchy of their population and their love life (to not speak of their genital life). I mean have you seen the 100 ?(the show)
A bunch of teenager trow into a post apocalyptic earth after spending century on a space station , threatened by acid fog and wildling and all you hear about is who love who and who whine like a little girl . But I digress .
I don't think girls would tolerate competition as well as male do but I think this is the only difference in my opinion . Perhaps I am mistaking and it is not so common occurrence or we don't talk about the same thing . But From what I remember of my high school's years and my early college , I remember a lot of beautiful young lady and some pretty boy having their own personal court of suitor which whom they entertained themselves .Some never grow out of this stage but other aren't so lucky and live their whole life like this (I hear it's how government works too)
I think what you are talking about is more in the order of "Giri Giri Sister" or "Welcome to Tokoharusou" and while I personally would welcome the first (didn't outgrow that stage yet) I wouldn't take kindly to the second first half of the plot . Funny how hypocritical you can found yourself , I fantasize about having beautiful women around you and satisfying their lusty need but I wouldn't want to share any of them even for a second . But I digress yet again .
