Surechigai (“Passing Each Other”) [English], by Takemasa Takeshi

Woah… There was a stifling atmosphere in that one. We start with two youngsters, male and female, childhood friends, but the girl plays too much the tsundere, and another opportunist girl steals the boy right under her nose. The end ? No so fast! It’s more dramatic than that. That thief girl was the destructive type, and, team-working with her brother, they’ll teach the two youngsters a bitter lesson.
There’s an open ending, and I was left hoping for a good continuation, with sorted out feelings at last, but, still… That was emotionally loaded.
