It’s original, according to Wikipedia, Getsuyoubi no Tawawa started as blue monochrome illustrations, to « provide a positive motivation towards workers and students alike on Monday mornings ».
That explains the color choice that surprised me at first, the images are in “bluescale” instead of greyscale. It gives a softer, warmer feeling, it’s not bad at all

I couldn’t find the email recommending it after I finally really read it (I had only downloaded it and left it in my downloads folder before that), and all I remembered was a series of 3 letters. I went for the one showering me with the greatest number of recommendations. I humbly apologize, KCZ
I had also sent you a note about it along with one about Wars End a few weeks back.
You can find random stuff about this “series” on Youtube. They’re more like 2 minute shorts, all with a really naughty or suggestive tone to them. And the artstyle is really good. Probably wouldn’t work as a normal series as it’s just a single scene everytime. Look it up though, good for a smile.
About the genetic makeup thing, I believe they genetically quite dissimilar, and that is why they smell ‘good’ to each other. After all, body odor is one way in which humans choose genetically different partners for greater chances of a genetically sound child.
Genetically is my new favorite word.
