Nhentai has the drawback of always downsizing the pages… unless that’s changed since the last time I’ve checked this.
Woops, I downloaded stuff from them a few days ago. You mean their IMAGE GALLERIES are downsized (something I wouldn’t mind at all), or the contents of their zips?
I have the vague impression that it’s downsized all across the board, but all I remember for sure is that their IMAGE GALLERIES are always downsized… to around the same size of your own downsized versions, admittedly, but still, E-Hentai at least leaves it up to you to decide whether or not you want the full ~3000 pixel version.
Try comparing what you downloaded with the relevant image gallery to make sure.
I’m not surprised or shocked nhentai resize their images, I’ll only have to check the zips are safe. The thing is, those galleries take a crazy amount of place on a server.
In total, atm, hentairules and its galleries take up to 270 GB of space, most of it because of the image galleries. Multiply it by 3 because backups are life. Add to this the plethora of other websites I host for friends and family (something like 20 other gb) and that already rules out most of the interesting dedicated web server offers, no choice but to go for offers with a shitton of diskspace.
And with that, I’m constantly amazed at websites like ehentai or nhentai, how can they find affordable (keyword: affordable) web storage for everything they have, for heaven’s sake?!? They host tons of stuff, in both zip and image formats, ffs?!? O_o
I’m going to avoid Deposit Files for the time being. Apparently, every time I try to download from the site, it’s trying to upload multiple driver and other virus files into my system, so I’m going to be using the other file sharing sites until this matter is cleared up.
