Visually, that was a welcome discovery, a woman with a boyish look: short hair, spiky haircut, thick eyebrows, glasses, a mole, a stern poker face… showing her hidden slutty side. YES, this contrast was excellent! 
Story-wise, I loved it, but maybe some will feel ill at ease? Basically, this is vanilla, love at last confessed after a leap of faith.
But, when we enter into details… Ah, look, mild spoiler warning, okay, skip to the next block if you don’t want it: it’s an adoptive daughter who never called her adoptive father “dad” because she loved him as a woman from the beginning, so the father is torn at first, bidding his fatherly affection goodbye, moving on to man-to-woman love.
Me, I found it touching, as it demands steadfast courage and determination, but I’m not sure, maybe it will be a touchy theme for some of you…

Reminds me of when I read about Grover Cleveland in history class.
I can understand why for some people this would be touchy…as we are not fed enough information aside from the girl’s own admission that he was a devoted father, and that she, and not he, chose to initiate a relationship other than father / daughter, one could be forgiven to have tough that this could be a mild case of wife husbandry (tough that would be a mighty stretch of the imagination)
There is also the whole side of the thrust that his dying friend placed in him to raise his daughter being betrayed by “falling in temptations open arms” but then again she, and not he, chose this outcome (plus clearly the dude wasnt entirely against it from that last pannel, tough one could argue this could also be dismissed as simply a child’s saying, wich to be fair shouldnt be entirely dismissed)
Another thing would be the fact, and i am loathe to bring that up, would be what i would call as the hypocrisy of saying that the man “didnt resist enough” or simply places the blame on the booze. But then again, still her damn choice.
but please feel free to point out if i missed something here.
