1006 Nano – Cyclone No Soushuuhen [English, 173 pictures], by Cyclone

Just like 1004N+ Cyclone No Shoushuuhen, this Soushuuhen volume is a compilation of several works of shorter size, all parodies of the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha series.
Namely, this time, those volumes are:
– Fei Tas,
– Kukkoro,
– Marunomi,
– Nanoism,
– Fuokkin, and
– Bonbon

Coming from the artist Cyclone, I shall assume you don’t need anymore detailed warnings regarding what happens to the girls. Tentacles, blackmail, rape, with the obligatory eventual mindbreak, etcetera. Still, graphically, this is excellent, no way around it, that was highly praiseworthy, and the white bar censorship is mostly hardly noticeable as a welcome bonus.
The images have an overexposed effect, though, I must warn you, plenty of details fade into whiteness.

–Update: there’s the morning after pill, and now, there’s the morning after retouching. I had nagging thoughts and decided I’dd add an alternative version with the images retouched. See the bottom of my post for the details and links

Still, I wonder. Have Cyclone’s stories grown mild over the years, or is my growing immunity to things helping make it more bearable?

My occasional rant about excessive file sizes: I downloaded it myself as a huge 472 MB archive. I thought “no, seriously, being this huge for this number and dimension of pics isn’t worth it”, so I recompressed the images before sharing. In case you needed a confirmation: it’s not the original I share here, but my recompressed version. You won’t notice any difference with the naked eye, but now it’s only 238 MB for you =)

As of usual when ☑ the images are in high enough resolution and ☑ the archive is quite big for its number of pictures, and ☑ it offers a significant gain, and ☑ I have enough time to do it, if it may help, I’m offering you a smaller version, in which I resized the images, here from 3200 px to lower-standard 1600 px resolution.
The zip shrank from 238 MB to 63 MB.
Personally, I prefer it for reading, and it takes less disk space.

And now, as an alternative, a retouching I made

I owe you an explanation: I didn’t feel very satisfied with the images as they were, they were frustrating: of good enough quality, but very bright, as if overexposed, and there were plenty of details that were almost invisible and required an active effort by the reader to be noticed:
– the shades to represent volumes
– blushlines
– areolas

I can deal with blushlines being hard to notice, but when even “volumetric shades” (look, I don’t know how they should be called, it’s those screentones that show us surfaces aren’t flat, okay? ^__^) are almost invisible, it’s clearly a pity in my eyes.

After I posted this manga yesterday, I felt nagging thoughts, telling myself I should have tried something against it, as I know exactly the right photoshop filter to help: Filters > Shadows/Highlights. So, I tried, and it yielded surprisingly okay results.
That filter doesn’t resurrect dead pixels out of the void, when images look overexposed there are no miracles to perform. But at least, that filter takes those areas, almost invisible but still existing, and strengthens them, darkens them, makes them easily noticeable again. No idea how it works, as it doesn’t excessively affect the already dark areas, thank you photoshop developers.

Long story short, if you like, I offer you my retouched version with that filter ran on the images.
I don’t replace the “official” version as I’m not confident enough, I simply offer it as an alternative version (that clearly has my preference, huhu, but to each his own.

Some comparisons if you like:
– example #1, before / example #1, after. Look at the shadows in the armpit and along the arm, or the screentones giving volume all around the chest; notice the blushlines, also.
– example #2, before / example #2, after. We see better the pussy creases, sure, sure, you filthy perv of course you’d notice that first But also, notice the butt isn’t flat anymore, now we can notice a little that it’s round, the shadows giving it a bit of volume have partly returned.
– example #3, before / example #3, after. I deliberately picked that example image to show my retouching couldn’t return perfect results, in that picture we see it’s going too far. Sure, everything’s more visible, but I feel the change is excessive, so you’re warned, some pictures are also negatively affected.
