You know what? I’m glad there is hideous censorship in that manga. It fits the despicable storyline. It would have been a lot sadder if it had been a good story that had been cursed with that censorship.
A brief summary, newlyweds temporarily have to live at the parents’ house, in which the father and a brother reside, and unsurprisingly the father and brother lose no time in raping and mindbreaking the girl, etcetera. The censorship is as hideous as the story, but I’ve got reckon the art is quite good, Zero No Mono’s talent is the real deal after all.

I wonder if there is a literary term for stories like this, where normal people are surrounded by people with special powers and have zero chance of winning any competition with them. It’s like a horror movie with a bad ending, where everyone good dies horribly no matter how they try.
As for this particular story, it’s frustrating that we’re supposed to completely forget common sense. A young man has no awareness of his brother and father being (apparently) experienced rapists, or that they would betray their own family at the drop of a hat. Plus, they have these amazing sex skills and he does not. It’s like they are strangers with not a single shared gene or memory. Then, his wife joins in the betrayal as if she married him because she had nothing better to do.
One manga I read got this part right: Those photos used for blackmail? Once they are used, they are evidence of a crime.
What we really want is women that love sex and are glad to do it with us. Why not just make her the one in control of her sexuality and have her get what she wants — husband, in-laws, or whoever — and let everyone be happy? There are plenty of ways you can tell this story without also crushing an innocent person.
These types of stories offer some ugly choices to really enjoy it. 1. Sympathize with the abusers and get some kick out of hurting the poor sucker, 2. Identify with the cuck and get some perverse pleasure out of being a loser, 3. Ignore the bad things and enjoy watching the hot sex. I think each of those choices comes at some mental or moral cost.
I think, on top of all, neither you or me share common traits with the persons who’d pay to read this. Simply, it’s impossible to actually, truly, deeply, understand what those people feel and what they’re really lusting for. It’s… it’s too alien.
its kind of like watching those documentaries about people who have sex with inanimate objets like, say,their car.
