Here’s a pretty decent vanilla hentai story, with a simple setup (highschool students, childhood friends, seizing an opportunity to have raw sex at school), but insisting quite well on the technically non-essential ingredients that, precisely, allow to make it vanilla, such as the character profiling, their talking, caring, their memories, and so on… Even if that came at the cost of a good number of pages (with 31 pages in total, there was enough of them, fortunately) it was worth it in my eyes, it set up a good mood =)
I can’t promise you god-tier art, it still felt not too professional, as if the artist had more enthusiasm than experience and the skill was more raw than polished. But it was good enough to be touching and arousing, let’s say it like that, so I’m confident you should feel good from reading the manga

Once in a while, the “non-essential ingredients” as Oliver mentioned would impart (unsure how else to express it) some ‘body’ to the story, that would likely be noticeably missing if the focus was mostly on “sexy time”. IMHO, such makes for a big difference between mere “fap ‘n’ go” material, and a well-crafted tale, of which many examples exist, both here and elsewhere.
totally agree, i find that good world building and mood set-up can elevate stories, and also sometime even improve the overall sexiness of the story, complimenting the art in an integral part of what makes this exciting and that, i feel, is what makes people resonnate with hentai.

Raw, gooey, and funky; from that description, this was kinda like durian fruit.
I had problems concentrating during the story, because I kept wondering what the white-on-black text meant. I was sure it was coming from him, but he’d ask her things that she’d only sometimes respond to. Then I figured out that it was his thoughts and she was just guessing his thoughts or coincidentally responding to something unsaid. So then his thoughts started coming out in black square boxes and I’m thinking, “What the hell is this, Deadpool Does Japan? Is this guy going to start stabbing things and breaking the fourth wall by talking to me?”
So now I’m all worried about ninjas attacking and pulling down her shorts, you know, like ninjas do. Stupid ninjas, no one likes that shit. Well, except for me. And ninjas, I guess.
