There was a gentle side to this release I had not expected. It starts with a highschool girl discovering one of her male classmates is a die hard fan of a magical girls show that’s made for young children.
– First good surprise: instead of mocking him, she consoles him and confesses she too is a fan, they agree the serie is deeper than it looks and emphasizes the aspects of life that matter most, giving viewers a push in the right direction.
– Second good surprise: sure they end up in a bedroom and all, but even though the boy is girly, lacks virility and agrees to dress up with the girl as one of the magical girls, he’s not treated like a meat toy afterwards. It remains gentle sex, initiated by the girl who treats the boy kindly.
So, well, no complaints, it looks good (realistic art with almost zero censorship) and has a cute side, it was nice =)

Definitely true that, another time, place and artist, this could have become downright ugly. Instead, we hve a scenario that the stereotypical ‘otaku’ might dream about; namely, finding someone who shares the same (or similar) hobbies or interests.
Cross-dressing aspect is still edgy for me, but it was overall good enough to get this:
