Chitose chapters 1-5 [English, 204 pictures, the series is now complete!], by Yuki Seto
–Update: excellent news, this post has become obsolete.
You will find HERE a new version of Chitose, in full tankoubon quality, which means high res images with very little censorship and a wealth of details that used to be simply unnoticeable before
It’s not often that I vote on my own shares, and even less often that it’s to give it 1 star.
Not, i prefer wait to the uncensored version.
*sigh* With Yuki Seto it’s such a mixed bag anyways.
For me the sex in his/her works is always unsatisfying; that being said however, the artwork is captivating. Censoring Yuki Seto’s work is a high crime.
Besides with the mangaka’s penchant for using fluids as a form of self-censorship, whiteout censorship seems even more asinine than usual.
I liked Yuki Seto’s early works quite a bit, but as time has gone on the strange has gone up and the interesting has gone down. Still the same engaging art, but often the story just winds up feeling empty. This series is a good example of that.
This is even worse than Level C. *sigh*
I’m not sure I understand the distaste for this one. I liked the mixed feelings and the fact that there’s no real ‘bad guy’ in the scenario. It reminds me of the mixed up, heart-breaky romances that most of us experienced in our teens (with 1000x more sex in the hentai world, of course).
I wonder if we’ll see a sequel someday where the boy is on the receiving end of the crush, the ending seemed to set it up.
I hate this story so much.
I think the writing on this one is by far above average, the story is complex and simple at the same time, the relationships are rather realistic and for once characters are not flat but actually have their own personalities. Relly enjoyed it although it didn’t really flip my switch too much.
The moment i see the evil N word in the tag, that moment i lose any interest.
This manga broke my heart but I was impressed with how the author played with emotions. Man hmmm hmmm…
