I have the feeling this is a totally Japanese story, here.
We have young adults, boyfriend and girlfriend, but something’s rotten. The girl completely lacks self-esteem and it’s now been half a year she’s been rejecting her BF’s attempts to have sex, she feels she’s not good enough. Afraid he might want to break up with her, she comes up with a bold plan to change herself, using the last porno he watched as inspiration.
And, of course, the BF was all kind and gentle, no worries, I wasn’t going to leave you anyway, but while you’re at it with a sexy outfit, HNNNG, etcetera.
You see, here, I’m sighing, because that kind of herbivore attitude will only work in Japan. Communication, for Pete’s sake! And let’s not confuse being kind with letting what’s wrong become the new fucked up norm, argh! 
My apologies, I’m letting real life stuff I witnessed get the better of me, it’s so frustrating to watch, even in comics ^^;;

Look, if you can’t communicate with your lover, then that person should not be your lover. Bad communication skills between couples is one of the quickest and surest ways to end up on the break-up/divorce express train.
It was a two-part problem, also.
– The lack of communication, that we see often
– Making that horrible mistake of being too kind and understanding, and thus transforming what is wrong and should not be, into a new norm
It’s that second mistake that drove me mad, argh. It’s a human weakness with plenty of ground to explain why it happens, but it’s always as bad to witness or live through. I’ve done it in the past, I’ve watched people do it recently, and…. ARGH.
