You know, this has been bothering me for a while now. Doesn't this artwork greatly resemble that of a previous share? Its almost identical that it is scary, except that its under a different artist. Yes, it's the same artist, if I'm not wrong these two are from the manga Funky Glamourous
With all the research I put in looking up this artist, I didn't even think of checking out the rest of the untranslated chapters of that manga. Thank you Robert Grave, you have been a great help. The artwork was driving me crazy. I kept thing, "They have to be the same artist, I know it." Thanks again!
Shiirakansu and Coelacanth are one and the same; I know this because I've been searching like crazy to get a copy of it in Benippon, and I was near inches to buying a used one for about 70 bucks. But I waited it out, and managed to preorder a cheaper one when they restocked.
I really hope the whole manga gets translated soon, cause I came to love the art style the minute I saw the cover on the site.
So, does he use both names when working on different works? (Example: The artist Takayaki uses that name for regular h-mangas but later, uses Jenoa Cake when working on doujin/parodies).
Most likely; a lot of artists do that. But I think the name Coelacanth and Shiirakansu actually mean the same thing: Shiirakansu is the Japanese word for Coelacanth: a living prehistoric fish in the modern world. I think the translators been using the romaji one ever since.
We solved the mystery Oliver, Coelacanth and Shiirakansu are one in the same!
